Nelson, Our SupermanWe rescued Nelson from an Austin Animal Shelter 8 years ago. His main purpose at the time was to "Take Care" of the huge rat we had living in our rental house. Last June we moved to College Station, Texas and within 2 weeks Nelson had disappeared. Our family was heart broken. We made signs, looked at the shelter weekly and continued to look. As the "months" went by, we had lost all hope. Except for our 5 year-old daughter Lily, who prayed regularly for Nelson to return. On Oct. 30 2007, a man called from an adjoining neighborhood and said he had our cat, Nelson. Nelson had been gone 5 months by then. Was badly injured and had lost 8 pounds, but he never gave up. After 2 surgeries and lots of TLC, today he got his final stitches out and he is on the road to recovery. He is named after my husbands golf hero, Bryon Nelson. Our cat Nelson is truly a our hero and "Superman".
Tiger Went MissingOur cat Tiger came up missing on Sat. May 23, 2009. We called and called and searched for Tiger. He was a solid black cat and very nosy. We had put a collar with a bell on him to warn the birds he was around. A week later we were five miles out in a rural area where we had been picking up rocks for a rock garden. It was dusk, and Joe says Do you want to go left or right?" and I said "right". I saw something in the middle of the road and I said,"What is that?" and Joe said "An animal". The closer we got we could tell it was a cat. Jokingly I said, "I wonder if it is Tiger?" When we got up to the cat it took off in the weeds. Joe opened his door and said "Tiger!" Low and behold we heard a bell ring and Tiger bound out of the weeds and was sooo very happy to see us. We put him in the car and took him home and he made a dash for his food dish. I am ordering name tags today!!!!
K.C. the Cavalier RubyThis is K.C. my friend's Cavalier King Charles spaniel Ruby who sadly went to Rainbow Bridge in October 2007. I enjoyed going for walks with him, he was a lovable, huggable dog, and I miss him so much.
WolfThis is a true story of a mate of mine (wolf)
He found me on the roadside 19yrs ago running a muck with eight other little pups.

For a few years he helped me round up stray bush cattle. He walked about two million miles while I rode a horse, he protected all I owned with a fierceness of a frenzied shark yet showed love in the best way he could to me. He saved my life on several occasions but this is remarkable he (wolf) put himself between a home invader and myself we ran inside locked the door and while the home invader was breaking the door down wolf savaged on the inside while I got the gun (I had decided that if the intruder wanted to get inside that bad he could confront the dog and gun my life was under direct threat as I had rang triple zero and scared out of my wits they had hung up on me, it was just me the dog and the gun facing the intruder. The dog roared in pure frustration that this was happening and as police finally arrived the invader was apprehended and carted off.
this was only one incident as the years wandered off I didn't notice the slowing of the dog I didn't see his sight was not as it once was or I didn't choose to. The last few months of his life he let me know that it was time to do the search for another dog, it found me (Chief) entered wolfs last months wolf kept going until the pup was trained wolfs way and I would have to finish the training on my own we finished training the pup to follow the horses understand how to behave when working with them this seemed to delight wolf as many mistakes were made and fixed the wolf seemed to be smiling when he resigned himself to his final fate. The last morning he went outside as usual I thought he had taken too long as I stepped outside to see what had happened I saw him collapse. Off to the vet we went as I knew things were not right with him. The vet is 199 miles away, the vet was notified that we were on the way. Wolf was ill and deteriorating. My best mate in the world was crook. I told the vet the dog was 19 yrs old the vet frowned I told the vet it wasn't the dogs time, the vet eventually took the dog and made him comfortable ,the dogs temperature had soared ,they packed him in ice and gave him pain relief, after hours of the long hard wait blood tests, x rays and all those vets and nurses with the patience of saints had to inform me the dog had pancreas cancer and that it was only a matter of time and not much time at that. I asked to spend some time with the dog alone and on the surgery floor I sat with my mate we didn't have to say a thing for over the years we seemed to be reading each others memories and minds. I wont go into detail of how it ended but the devotion of the both of us our pack had been split, our heart's had been broke and his suffering had ended. He's buried in a secret location where he has his beloved bush and no fences - a pet hate of his and mine. Every time a thunder storm hits I know wolf has taken his rightful place among all best mates and all good dogs.

Little Black puppyMy 3 year old daughter wanted a "little black" puppy for her birthday more than anything. Well lo and behold my mom's friend had a dog that had litter that only one black puppy. The puppy was under weight, malnourished and had sores all over him. However, my little girl thought he was beautiful. He is now happy and healthy. If he had stayed in the conditions he was in I think he would have died.
saffie tallulahThis is Saffie Tallulah, my female black cat. She is very naughty by waking me up every morning. This is her by the back door singing
after she got me up out of bed. She also has a sister Millie Dewdrops, a tortoiseshell. She can be a devil at times but not as bad as Saffie Tallulah.
"SchnauzerTale"Dear Staff at “LOVE YOUR PETS,”
I am 58 years old and have never owned a dog. My youngest son is a plumber and was doing some work at a home that had previously been occupied by drug dealers. Several dogs were left abandoned in the home ostensibly due to a hasty retreat! All efforts to locate the owners were futile and the pick of the pack was an adorable salt and pepper Schnauzer. She was shuffled to several homes before she ended up at our home.

For some reason “Schnauze” immediately adopted me! I taught her German commands and everyone cracks up listening to the Grandchildren trying to pronounce them. Being a pilot I spend as much time as possible with the local airport bums and Schnauze was soon adopted as the airport mascot. She is quite savvy about the airplanes and very well behaved. I have had her for about three years now and she is my enduring shadow. The entire family can tell I love her deeply in spite of my refutation.

A few months ago I was out of state on an extended business trip and my wife called me in tears telling me that Schnauze was missing and the neighborhood search had brought no results. Trying to calm myself and my frantic wife I told her we should pray and hope for the best. In less than an hour Schnauze came home covered in mud.

Counting my blessings I immediately went online to find a company that offered information tags for pets. I liked the “LOVE YOUR PETS” website and bought tags for all three dogs (we inherited two more). We were surprised at the very reasonable price, the great quality and how fast they arrived!
Yesterday my wife called and said that she received a phone call inquiring if we were missing some dogs. Arrangements were quickly made to retrieve the gate busters and all is well again. I just now ordered a tag for my 20 pound Siamese named “Purdy Cat”, (not that he moves much) but you never know….

I don’t get a pat on the back very often but my wife had to admit that choosing “LOVE YOUR PETS” was a great idea! Thanks to everyone who makes our pets (and their owners) rest a little easier!

Most Respectfully,
Milo & Lavendia Ketchum

Awesome Tags! I recently placed my order for my puppies tags. They came very quickly and I LOVE them! I had thought about getting I.D. tags at my local pet store. Ordering them from your site not only saved me money, but allowed me to put more information on the tags. I feel great knowing my babies are now easily identified if they were to unexpectedly get lost. Here is LULU showing off her new tag. THANK YOU!
