Last summer Max got out of our fence and took a stroll down through the neighborhood and into the woods not far from our home. Evidently, he interrupted a porcupine busy at work and got quite the noseful. Scared, Max ran farther away from home. A gal a few streets away spotted him running out of the woods and took him in.
