Story of Buddy and Trixie We'll miss ya'll

Story of Buddy and Trixie We'll miss ya'llIf only I took a picture, I would cherish it forever. I have no idea how i managed not to. Buddy, a lab and greyhound mix, we found him on the side of the road half blind, half deaf and only a puppy about 7-9 weeks. We took him to the vet they made it mostly better you still had to yell though. He loved to play but was scared to climb stairs if they were big. Of course we kept him, who wouldn't? (after we had him for about 1 month) One night, about midnight, it was raining really hard and we heard barking and whimpering. We walked outside and Buddy was standing at the bottom of the stairs walking back and forth from under the porch to the bottom of the stairs eventually we we looked under the porch and saw a pure breed Golden Retriever (Trixie) laying under the porch, in Buddy's doghouse with a towel pulled over her, this proves that dogs are smart and look out for each other. Well, we took her inside and dried her off, and tried to get Buddy to come in but he wouldn't climb up the stairs. I thought that she might have been abandoned or lost because she was a little bit fat. After we dried her off we were deciding what to name her we almost named her peanut 'till we figured out it was a girl so we settled on Trixie (about 1 month old maybe a little younger than Buddy at the time). Every morning Trixie would come to the door get a pig ear and walk outside again and sit by Buddy, she would never let him have her pig ear though no matter how much he tried. They were always so gentle with each other I could sit there for hours and watch them play. But, then one day me, my brother, and our mom were coming home for a long day, they were playing with the dogs across the street, and I couldn't wait to watch them and play with them, but our neighbor was puling out of their drive way and Buddy and Trixie started scuffling in the road and , boom, just like that. Buddy scampered off limping (which was weird 'cause the two hardly ever left each others side) so I guess I thought he was okay. Trixie on the other hand was very bad she passed on to dogie heaven we spent the next couple of days looking for Buddy but never found him until our neighbor found him up the street he had also layed down and passed on to dogie heaven. To this day I wish I had ignored my mom and ran after Buddy and said goodbye. We had only had them for about 2/3 of a year and I had grown very attached to them.
They were buried under the porch side. . . by. . . side.
