My son made it to the Junior Olympics PA Wrestling team so my other children, my husband and I packed up and took our two long-haired Chihuahuas to my mother-in-law's house. She was to watch them for the three days we'd be gone....five hours from home! Two days into the wrestling tournament, we were so excited that my son had become a sixth place medalist in the state of PA in the wrestling tournament...only to get the call that my ten year old puppy had disappeared from my mother-in-law's backyard...she was wearing no collar, no tags and could be anywhere!!! My mother-in-law and other family members searched for hours for Baby to no avail....They contacted the police and animal control and my heart sank deep into the bottom of my heart knowing that Baby could not speak for herself and the lack of ID tags would not help if anyone found her dead or alive. We prayed and believed God would keep her safe. A day turned into a night and no word of Baby. We were returning from our trip three hours into our five hour drive when my mother in law called and said someone had spotted Baby. She had managed to run through a crazy-busy intersection, to an apartment complex and was running aimlessly down the parking lot looking for her home. Many kind-compassionate people spotted Baby and tried to catch her, but she was so frightened, she would run away. Some of my family members searched the second day for Baby after the sighting for over four hours in the pouring rain. She was so scared, she would only run deeper into the woods. Baby is only six pounds and looks like a fox. People who spotted her, thought she was a fox, a rabbit, a cat. When my children and I got home, we searched another three hours in the rain and dark with flashlights looking for her calling out her name. Nothing!!! Not even a glimpse of her. We kept our faith in the Lord...and the third day into her disappearance, we got another call that someone had spotted her running down a road. We immediately came to the place they had seen her and began searching again, calling her name. It was like looking for a needle in a haystack....open woods, lots of houses...and a little six pound long-haired chihuahua that looks like a fox. We felt led to ask a woman who was unloading her car if she had seen our dog, and she said she had taken a picture of something that she thought could be her....The woman thought our Baby was a small fox. She showed us the picture and we began crying. The kind lady gave us permission to search the woods behind her home when we I heard a shout saying...'we found your dog!' Baby had gone into this woman's neighbor's garage to keep warm. We were reunited and our Baby was perfectly fine...She has lived a pampered life. I never thought to get her ID tags because she had never been out of my sight. I thought of the movie 'Beverely Hills Chihuhua' and kept a peace within knowing somehow....Baby would become a miracle story...In which, she has!!! I immediately came home and ordered ID tags for both Baby and Twix...and will send pictures of the two of them as soon as we receive them in the mail....Thank you so much for an assurance knowing that if Baby is ever separated from us again, people will know she is a dog and not a fox, a cat, a rabbit, or a big rat....They will know she is a dog who is loved and missed! Thank you so much! |
It wasn't our dog that a tag helped but it did help. It was the middle of winter in Ohio and I was coming from a doctors appointment when I saw two dogs hovering over each other next to a fence. Apprehensive at first, I tried to coax the dogs towards me not knowing if they were vicious. As it turns out they weren't vicious, they were cold. I was able to get one of them into my car and another gentleman that was there to the other. After I got home, I called the number that was on the tag that rang into a veterinarians office. I gave them the name and they were able to pull the record on the dog and, after giving them my number, they passed it along to the owner who called me back almost immediately. That night the dog stayed with us but was reunited with his family the next day. This inspired my wife and I to get a dog and....YES! she has a tag. |
One day on my way back to work after lunch, I spotted a German Shepherd running in the busy intersection looking totally lost. Traffic was quite busy and I was so worried he was going to get hit. Luckily I was able to catch up to him about a mile ahead as he found a shaded area to stop and take a break in the grass. I saw he looked harmless so I called to him and he calmly came to me. I had my dog's leash in the car and was able to get him leashed. I was so relieved to see he had an ID tag on so I called the owner and she was thrilled to get the call. They had been driving around all morning searching for him! They came and got him and were so grateful. That same afternoon I ordered my pooch, Jonah, his ID tag! I just received it today! Thank you so much! |
she is such a lovely puppy, we are so happy to have her. |
My two Australian Shepherds, Cooper and Montana, were cruising down the side of a highway in an attempt to get home after a family move, when they were picked up by caring people. Thanks to the tags they came home safely. I have just ordered tags for my two baby goats, Billie and Bobby Jo to help keep them safe. If my chickens would wear them, they would have them too! Thank you. |
Just bought 3 of your IDs & feel a lot better now! |
Gizmo, a 2 year old, blind in one eye, Silkie Terrier, is more than a handful. Gizmo is my mother's dog, but needs to be looked after while she is away on business, so she comes to stay with me. I have a rather large backyard that time and time again I have tried to puppy proof, but to no avail! Gizmo squeezes out from who knows where and goes as far as the park across the street, or someone else's backyard. We purchased a pet tag from another company for $11 and it deteriorated very quickly. I've given this web site to my mother so she can purchase a tag for little Gizmo, to stop her from running around town! I purchased a tag for my curious cat, Boa, in the event that she sneaks out and cant find her way back home. Too bad we couldn't tag our boyfriends for when they get too drunk. ;) |
My husband and I have two males dogs. Cooper, a 1 yr old Corgi, and Oden, a Chocolate Lab. Both had gotten out of the gate. After five days, a woman saw the two that morning and called our #. Our 4 yr old helped me make signs the day they went missing. They both have tags now! Glad to have them home again. |
A couple of hours ago, my dog ran off across a busy street attached to his leash, he was startled by something and took off... I was wearing high heels and just started running after him, I'm in the city and I watched him cross a main drag, then take off across a busy bridge, where people FLY! I just kept running, but he was gone... I knew I would never catch him, and he doesn't have a tag. I could barely breathe when two cars driving down the other side of the bridge yelled that they had my dog. When we finally met up, I could still barely breathe and wasn't sure even how to talk, other than to say a thank you, and that still seems too small. The man that had my dog told me he saw him run away and chased him for a LONG time, there was no way anyone would know who he belonged to, if this man had not seen it happened. He told me that I had to check out this website and that I was a fool for not having a tag on my dog. I'm indeed a fool and feel sick that he was not wearing a tag. I have ordered my tags (as I have two dogs) and will wait patiently until they arrive. Its too bad this had to happen in order for me to order them, but now I will not be without. At this point I think I would have paid $1000.00 for a dog tag, but WOW the prices are amazing!Thank you. |
I just got my pet tag the other day and wow it has already saved my dog. I let him out to go potty and the next thing I knew he was gone, My neighbors called to let me know they had found him and it was because of the tag they knew who to call or he could have been lost forever |
